Community Involvement

Acoustic for a Change
The Echarte Family has graciously provided grant and instrument donations through Acoustic for a Change in support of Creative Identity’s music department. Their generous contributions help our participants increase transferable pre-vocational skills through participation in the fine arts education offered.

The City of Anaheim
The City of Anaheim offers support to Creative Identity’s Anaheim program site through awarding of their Community Block Development Grant (CBDG) and through the use of their Anaheim Accessibility Center to house our Anaheim program site. We are truly grateful for their continued partnership.

Anaheim Family YMCA
The Anaheim Family YMCA is a facility partner at the Anaheim Accessibility Center. CI’s program participants proudly create beautiful backdrop murals for their youth theater program. More information can be found at Anaheim Family YMCA’s Website.

Dayle McIntosh Center

The Dayle McIntosh Center is a facility partner of Creative Identity at the Anaheim Accessibility Center. More information can be found at Dayle McIntosh’s Website.

International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW)
After an unexpected move of our Anaheim program site CI’s kiln, an integral part of our ceramics department, lacked proper electrical instillation. The local International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW 441) came to the rescue to install electrical work for our automatic kiln. Thanks to the generous local IBEW 441 members who donated their time and materials to help CI get electricity to the Anaheim program site kiln shed, our ceramics program is able to continue.

The Kolohe Ukulele Club of Huntington Beach
For 12 years, CI participants and the Kolohe Ukulele Club of Huntington Beach celebrate the end of each summer by sharing an annual inter-community family-style Luau and potluck. Their club donates live music and collaborates with CI participants during this collaborative event.

St. Mark Presbyterian Church, Newport Beach
We are grateful to Deacon Bart McHenry and Deacon Fhil Moore of St. Mark Presbyterian Church of Newport Beach for their longtime sponsorship of Creative Identity. CI’s Pride Singers take great pride in performing occasionally during Sunday services. The St. Mark Annual Alternative Christmas Market provides a unique opportunity for the sale of participant crafted paintings, ceramic-ware, jewelry, and silk scarves.

Muzeo Center for Cultural Arts
CI participants are privileged to have their art exhibited at the Muzeo in 2019 and 2013 in the special installment “Transcending Boundaries.” Photos from the exhibitions are available:
